It is unlawful for any person, other than a person licensed under this chapter, to employ or use the term “marriage and family counselor,” “marriage and family therapist,” “marriage and family therapist intern,” “marital adviser,” “marital therapist,” “marital consultant,” “clinical professional counselor,” “clinical professional counselor intern” or any similar title in connection with his or her work, or in any way imply that the person is licensed by the Board, unless he or she is licensed under this chapter.
