Notwithstanding the provisions of chapter 622A of NRS, if the Board has reason to believe that the conduct of any psychologist, psychological assistant, psychological intern or psychological trainee has raised a reasonable question as to competence to practice psychology or to practice as a psychological assistant, psychological intern or psychological trainee with reasonable skill and safety to patients, the Board may require the psychologist, psychological assistant, psychological intern or psychological trainee to take a written or oral examination to determine whether the psychologist, psychological assistant, psychological intern or psychological trainee is competent to practice psychology or to practice as a psychological assistant, psychological intern or psychological trainee.
