Text

1. If a practitioner, other than a veterinarian, intends to prescribe a controlled substance listed in schedule II, III or IV for more than 30 days for the treatment of pain, the practitioner must, not later than 30 days after issuing the initial prescription, enter into a prescription medication agreement with the patient, which must be:

(a)Documented in the record of the patient; and
(b)Updated at least once every 365 days while the patient is using the controlled substance or whenever a change is made to the treatment plan established pursuant to paragraph (c) of subsection 1 of NRS 639.23911 . 2. A prescription medication agreement entered into pursuant to subsection 1 must include, without limitation:
(a)The goals of the treatment of the patient;
(b)Consent of the patient to testi
