§ 62G.340 — Appointment and compensation of probation officers and other employees; establishment of policies, procedures and standards concerning such officers and employees

Nevada·Title 5 JUVENILE JUSTICE·Ch. 62G Administration· Department of Juvenile Justice Services Established by Juvenile Court

1. With the advice of the probation committee, the director of the department of juvenile justice services shall appoint:

(a)One or more probation officers.
(b)Other employees as may be required to carry on the work of the probation department and each local facility for the detention of children. 2. The appointment of the probation officers, the employees of the department of juvenile justice services and the employees of each local facility for the detention of children must be made from lists of eligible persons established through competitive examinations. 3. With the advice of the probation committee, the director of the department of juvenile justice services shall establish policies, procedures and standards for the proper performance of the duties and responsibilities of the prob
