§ 62C.310 — Service of summons

Nevada·Title 5 JUVENILE JUSTICE·Ch. 62C Procedure· SUMMONS AND EXTRADITION

1. Except as otherwise provided in this section, a summons must be served personally by the delivery of a true copy to the person summoned. 2. If the juvenile court determines that it is impracticable to serve a summons personally, the juvenile court may order the summons to be served by:

(a)Registered mail or certified mail addressed to the last known address; or
(b)Publication, Ê or both. 3. The service of a summons is sufficient to confer jurisdiction if the summons is served at least 48 hours before the time fixed in the summons for its return. 4. Any person over 18 years of age may serve any summons, process or notice required by the provisions of this title. 5.
