Text

1.Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants shall, at least 30 days before the beginning of any term, or within 30 days after a position on the Board becomes vacant, submit to the Governor the names of at least three persons qualified for membership on the Board for each position to be filled by a certified public accountant. The Governor shall appoint new members or fill the vacancy from the list, or request a new list. If the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants fails to submit timely nominations for a position on the Board, the Board may submit nominations to the Governor, who shall appoint members from among the nominees or request a new list.
