Text

1. Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, a person shall not:

(a)Act as a photovoltaic installer for a photovoltaic system project unless the person holds a license as a photovoltaic installer issued by the Division; or
(b)Employ or contract with another person to act as a photovoltaic installer for a photovoltaic system project unless the other person holds a license as a photovoltaic installer issued by the Division. 2. A person is not required to obtain a license from the Division to install or maintain a photovoltaic system project on property that the person owns and occupies as a residence. 3. A person who violates any provision of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor.
