1.The insurer shall not authorize the payment of any money to a physician, chiropractic physician, physician assistant or advanced practice registered nurse for services rendered by the physician, chiropractic physician, physician assistant or advanced practice registered nurse, as applicable, in attending an injured employee until an itemized statement for the services has been received by the insurer accompanied by a certificate of the physician, chiropractic physician, physician assistant or advanced practice registered nurse stating that a duplicate of the itemized statement has been filed with the employer of the injured employee.
