Text
Any officer or employee of the Department, who collects currency in payment of any taxes, assessments, proceeds of sale, fees or other charges imposed pursuant to the provisions of this Title in an area of the State so remote that the currency can only be transmitted to the Department by mail, may mail a check in lieu of the amount collected in currency.
