Text

1. The Director shall appoint a State Veterinarian. The State Veterinarian is in the unclassified service of the State and serves at the pleasure of the Director. 2. The State Veterinarian must:

(a)Be a graduate of a veterinary school or college approved by the American Veterinary Medical Association; and
(b)Have at least 3 years’ experience in regulating and controlling diseases in livestock. 3. The State Veterinarian shall manage the activities of the Department relating to the protection and promotion of the livestock industry of the State of Nevada.
