Text
1. The organization of a district must be initiated by the adoption of an ordinance by the board of county commissioners, which ordinance is in NRS 543.170 to 543.830 , inclusive, sometimes designated the “initiating ordinance.” 2. The initiating ordinance must set forth:
(a)The name of the proposed district, consisting of a chosen name preceding the words “District for the Control of Floods.”
(b)A statement of the necessity for the district and the general purposes for which the district is proposed to be created.
(c)A statement that improvements of the district will not interfere with or affect vested water rights.
(d)A general description of the boundaries of the district or the territory to be included therein, with such certainty as to enable a property owner to determine whether
