Text

The driver of every vehicle operating a half hour after sunset to a half hour before sunrise and carrying a load extending 4 feet or more beyond the end of the vehicle shall attach at the extreme end of the load two red lights plainly visible under normal atmospheric conditions from a distance of not less than 500 feet from the rear and sides. At any other time the driver shall attach at the extreme end of such load a red flag or cloth at least 16 inches square.
