Text

1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a peer-to-peer car sharing program shall be deemed to have an insurable interest in a shared vehicle during the car sharing period. 2. A peer-to-peer car sharing program may own and maintain as the named insured one or more policies of motor vehicle liability insurance that provide coverage for:

(a)Liabilities assumed by the peer-to-peer car sharing program under a peer-to-peer car sharing program agreement;
(b)Any liability of a shared vehicle owner;
(c)Any liability of a shared vehicle driver; or
(d)Damage or loss to a shared motor vehicle. 3. Nothing in this section shall be construed to require a peer-to-peer car sharing program to obtain or maintain the motor vehicle liability insurance policy necessary to satisfy the requirements of
