Text

The Commission may, by regulation, require insurance coverage for each licensed contestant to provide for medical, surgical and hospital care for injuries sustained while engaged in contests or exhibitions of unarmed combat, in an amount of $50,000 or more payable to the physician or hospital which treated the contestant for the contestant’s injuries or, if the contestant has paid for that care, directly to the contestant or the contestant’s beneficiary.
