Text

1. All services purchased for children with special health care needs pursuant to NRS 442.180 to 442.220 , inclusive, must be authorized by the Division before the time such services are provided, and a record of such authorizations must be retained as part of the child’s case record in the Division. 2. Authorizations for services provided during the hours when the offices of the Division are closed may be issued retroactively, provided that:

(a)The child meets the eligibility requirements of the Program; and
(b)The Division is notified by the physician, hospital or other provider of services within 72 hours following the time service was provided.
