Text

1. In accordance with the regulations adopted by the Board, the State Registrar shall ensure the security and confidentiality of vital statistics maintained by his or her office. 2. Except as otherwise provided in this section and NRS 440.170 , 440.175 and 440.650 , information relating to vital statistics may be released:

(a)If the vital statistic is a certificate of birth, 125 years after the date of the birth.
(b)If the vital statistic is a certificate of death, 50 years after the date of the death.
