Text

A sterile hypodermic device program shall: 1. Establish and follow procedures for the safe collection and disposal of used hypodermic devices and other related material pursuant to guidelines established by the State Board of Health. 2. Provide community outreach and educational programs concerning:

(a)The safer use of hypodermic devices to avoid disease and infection; and
(b)The safe disposal of hypodermic devices. 3. Report the quantities of hypodermic devices distributed and collected by the program to the State Board of Health at least semiannually.
