Text

1. A consumer or the consumer’s legal guardian must be:

(a)Permitted to inspect the consumer’s records; and
(b)Informed of the consumer’s clinical status and progress at reasonable intervals of no longer than 3 months in a manner appropriate to his or her clinical condition. 2. Unless a psychiatrist has made a specific entry to the contrary in a consumer’s records, a consumer or the consumer’s legal guardian is entitled to obtain a copy of the consumer’s records at any time upon notice to the administrative officer of the facility and payment of the cost of reproducing the records.
