Text
Subject to NRS 412.412, no person, while being held for trial or the result of a trial, may be subjected to punishment or penalty other than arrest or confinement upon the charges pending against him or her, nor shall the arrest or confinement imposed upon the person be any more rigorous than the circumstances required to insure his or her presence; but the person may be subjected to minor punishment during that period for infractions of discipline, and may be required to perform such labor as may be necessary for the policing and sanitation of his or her living quarters and messing facilities and the area immediately adjacent thereto.
