§ 4.220 — Unlawful to purchase judgments

It is unlawful for any justice of the peace of the same township, directly or indirectly, to purchase any judgment or any part thereof on the docket of such justice, or on any docket in his or her possession. For each offense, the justice of the peace shall be fined not more than $1,000.
