1.The governing body of a private school may contract with the board of trustees of the school district in which the private school is located for the provision of school police officers.
2.If the governing body of a private school makes a request to the board of trustees of the school district in which the private school is located for the provision of school police officers pursuant to subsection 1, the board of trustees of the school district must enter into a contract with the governing body for that purpose.
