Text

1. Notwithstanding any of the provisions of NRS 393.220 to 393.320 , inclusive, the board of trustees shall have the power to lease any school building not in use at a nominal rental for community center purposes. 2. The following conditions shall apply:

(a)The lease must be made with a nonprofit association properly and regularly formed and maintained by residents of a particular community or area within the school district desiring to utilize an available school building as a community center.
(b)Any school building so leased must be used for community center purposes only, and may not be used for private gain.
(c)The lease shall provide for cancellation of the lease and a return of the school building to the possession of the school district, upon 30 days’ written notice and demand,
