Text

1. Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, the board of trustees of each school district and the governing body of each charter school that operates a middle school, junior high school or high school shall ensure that the school district or charter school, as applicable, participates in the biennial survey administered pursuant to the Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the United States Department of Health and Human Services, or any equivalent or successor system developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. 2. A public school shall not administer the survey described in subsection 1 to a pupil if:

(a)The pupil is an unemancipated minor and the parent or guardian of the pupil has refused to consent t
