Text

1. If a pupil enrolled in a Title I school or a school that is rated as underperforming pursuant to the statewide system of accountability for public schools:

(a)Is assigned to a teacher, as the pupil’s regular classroom teacher, who is not licensed to teach pursuant to this chapter or who does not hold an endorsement to teach in the subject area in which he or she is teaching; or
(b)Has been taught for 4 consecutive weeks or more by a teacher who is not the pupil’s regular classroom teacher and who is not licensed to teach pursuant to this chapter or who does not hold an endorsement to teach in the subject area in which he or she is teaching, Ê the principal of the school or the administrative head of the charter school, as applicable, shall provide notice of that fact to the parent or
