Text

1. Except as otherwise provided in NRS 333.435 , the Administrator may authorize using agencies to purchase items that are not available directly from an entity with which the Purchasing Division has entered into a contract if such a purchase is made in accordance with the State Administrative Manual created by NRS 232.004 , provisions of this chapter and any regulations adopted pursuant thereto. 2. Each authorization must be revocable at the discretion of the Administrator. 3. A using agency that receives an authorization shall keep a record of:

(a)Its accounts and expenditures pursuant to that authority; and
(b)Evidence indicating that every effort has been made to secure competitive bidding to the extent practicable.
