Text
1. Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, no trustee may:
(a)Become a contractor under any contract or order for supplies or any other kind of contract authorized by the board, or to be in any manner interested, directly or indirectly, as principal, in any kind of contract so authorized.
(b)Be interested in any contract made by the board or to be a purchaser or to be interested in any purchase or sale made by the board.
2. The board may purchase supplies or contract for services for the district from one of its members, when not to do so would be a great inconvenience, but the member from whom the supplies are to be bought or with whom the contract for services is to be made shall not vote upon the allowance of the purchase or contract.
