Text

1.Any person who owns property which is located within the district may, on or before the date fixed, protest against the dissolution, merger or consolidation of such district, in writing, which protest shall be filed with the county clerk of such county.
2.If, at or before the time fixed by the ordinance and notice, written protest is filed signed by a majority of the owners of property within the district, the district shall not be dissolved, merged or consolidated. If any written protests are filed and the board of county commissioners determines that the protests so filed represent less than a majority of the owners of property within the district, the board may, if it so determines, complete the dissolution, merger or consolidation by the adoption of a final ordinance of dissolution
