1.A commissioner or employee of the authority shall not voluntarily acquire any interest, direct or indirect, except as a residential tenant, in any housing project or in any property included or planned to be included in any housing project, or in any contract or proposed contract in connection with any housing project. Where the acquisition is not voluntary, the commissioner or employee shall immediately disclose the interest in writing to the authority and the disclosure must be entered upon the minutes of the authority. Upon disclosure the commissioner or employee shall not participate in any action by the authority involving the housing project, property or contract.
