Text

1. Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, a Legislator who was appointed to fill a vacancy in the office of a Legislator during a period described in subsection 1 of NRS 294A.300 may, during the period described in subsection 1 of NRS 294A.300 in which the Legislator was appointed, solicit or accept a monetary contribution, or solicit or accept a commitment to make such a contribution, from another Legislator or from an organization whose primary purpose is to provide support for Legislators of a particular party and house. 2. A Legislator shall not:

(a)Solicit or accept monetary contributions pursuant to subsection 1, or solicit or accept a commitment to make such contributions, in a total amount which exceeds $10,000 for a regular session or $1,200 for a special session.
