Text
The appointing officer shall designate the first chair from among the members. When there is a vacancy in such office, the agency shall elect a chair from among its members. Unless otherwise prescribed by the legislative body, the term of office as chair is for the calendar year, or for that portion remaining after he or she is designated or elected.
