Text

1. All taxes, fines, forfeitures or other moneys collected or received by any officer or person, under or by virtue of any of the provisions of this chapter, shall be paid by the officer or person collecting or receiving the same to the county treasurer of the county in which the taxes or moneys were collected or received. 2. The county treasurer shall:

(a)Set the same apart as a fund to be used solely for the benefit of the town or city in which they were collected or received.
(b)Enter the same upon the county treasurer’s books to the credit of the town or city.
(c)Divide the fund into two equal portions, one to be designated as the general fund and the other as a debt service fund.
(d)Not pay any money out of the general fund except upon warrants drawn upon the county treasurer by t
