Text

The governing body of an incorporated city may prohibit by ordinance any waste of water within its jurisdiction. Any ordinance adopted under this section may: 1. Classify the conditions under which specified kinds and amounts of consumption or expenditure of water are wasteful; 2. Provide for reasonable notice of which of such conditions, if any, exist in the city; 3. Allow any person, group of persons, partnership, corporation or other business or governmental entity which:

(a)Furnishes water to persons within the city for business, manufacturing, agricultural or household use; and
(b)Is not a public utility regulated by the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada, Ê to reduce or terminate water service to any customer or user who wastes water, according to reasonable standards adopted by
