Text

1. The city council may:

(a)Control the property of the city.
(b)Erect and maintain all buildings, structures and other improvements for the use of the city.
(c)Except as otherwise provided in NRS 268.059 , 268.061 and 268.062 , purchase, receive, hold, sell, lease, convey and dispose of property, real and personal, for the benefit of the city, both within and without the city boundaries, improve and protect such property, and do all other things in relation thereto which natural persons might do. 2. Except as otherwise provided by law, the city council may not mortgage, hypothecate or pledge any property of the city for any purpose.
