Text

1. Whenever any county fair and recreation board has been organized or reorganized, each member thereof shall file with the county clerk:

(a)The member’s oath of office.
(b)A corporate surety bond furnished at county expense, in an amount not to exceed $1,000, and conditioned for the faithful performance of his or her duties as a member of the board. 2. Except as otherwise provided in subsection 3, no member may receive any compensation as an employee of the board or otherwise, and no member of the board may be interested in any contract or transaction with the board or the county except in his or her official representative capacity. 3. Each member of a board created and existing in a county whose population is 100,000 or more is entitled to receive $480 per month or $80 for each meetin
