1. The Office is responsible for:

(a)The applications of information systems;
(b)Designing and placing those information systems in operation;
(c)Any application of an information system which it furnishes to state agencies and officers after negotiation; and
(d)The security validation, testing, including, without limitation, penetration testing, and continuous monitoring of information systems, Ê for using agencies and for state agencies and officers which use the equipment or services of the Office pursuant to subsection 2 of NRS 242.131 . 2. The Chief shall review and approve or disapprove, pursuant to standards for justifying cost, any application of an information system having an estimated developmental cost of $50,000 or more.
