Text

1. The Chief Financial Officer is ex officio Legislative Fiscal Officer. As such Officer, the Chief shall keep a complete, accurate and adequate set of accounting records and reports for all legislative operations, including any records and reports required by the Federal Government for the administration of federal revenue and income tax laws. 2. The Chief shall:

(a)Withhold from the pay of each Legislator, employee of the Legislature and employee of the Legislative Counsel Bureau the amount of tax specified by the Federal Government; and
(b)Transmit the amount deducted to the Internal Revenue Service of the United States Department of the Treasury. 3. The Chief shall, upon receipt of information from the Public Employees’ Benefits Program specifying amounts of premiums or contributions
