1. The Legislative Counsel shall, upon receipt of requests for prefiling bills and joint resolutions for introduction in the next regular session, transmit those bills and joint resolutions that may be prefiled to the Secretary of the Senate or the Chief Clerk of the Assembly, as appropriate. The Secretary or Chief Clerk shall number the prefiled bills and joint resolutions consecutively in the same manner as during regular sessions and is responsible for the safekeeping of such prefiled bills and joint resolutions. 2. After a prefiled bill or joint resolution has been properly numbered, the Legislative Counsel shall cause the prefiled bill or joint resolution to be printed in the same manner as during regular sessions.
