Text

1. The State Board of Parole Commissioners is hereby created within the Department of Public Safety. 2. The Board consists of seven members appointed by the Governor. 3. A Chair of the Board must be appointed by the Governor. The Chair shall delegate to the Executive Director of the Board such authorities and responsibilities as the Chair deems necessary for the efficient conduct of the business of the Board. 4. Each member of the Board must have at least:

(a)A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, law enforcement, sociology, psychology, social work, law or the administration of correctional or rehabilitative facilities and programs and not less than 3 years of experience working in one or several of these fields; or
(b)Four years of experience in one or several of the fields specified
