1.Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, in addition to his or her regular salary, each person employed by the Department of Corrections or the Division of Forestry of the State Department of Conservation and Natural Resources at the Southern Nevada Correctional Center, the Southern Desert Correctional Center, the Indian Springs Conservation Camp, the correctional institution identified as the Men’s Prison No. 7 in chapter 656, Statutes of Nevada 1995, and chapter 478, Statutes of Nevada 1997, or the Jean Conservation Camp is entitled to receive, as compensation for travel expenses, not more than $7.50 for each day he or she reports to work if his or her residence is more than 25 miles from the respective institution or facility.
