§ 2.040 — Vacancy filled by Governor; term

Nevada·Title 1 STATE JUDICIAL DEPARTMENT·Ch. 2 Supreme· COURT AND JUSTICES
Whenever any vacancy occurs in the office of justice of the Supreme Court, the Governor shall fill the same by granting a commission to a candidate put forth by the Commission on Judicial Selection, which expires on the first Monday of January following the next general election by the people and upon the qualification of his or her successor, at which election a justice must be chosen for the balance of the unexpired term.
