Text

1. The State DNA Database is hereby established to serve as this State’s repository for DNA records and to provide DNA records to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. 2. The Forensic Science Division of the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office shall oversee, manage and administer the State DNA Database and shall:

(a)Implement policies for the management and administration of the State DNA Database, including, without limitation, any system for the identification of DNA profiles and DNA records that is necessary to support agencies of criminal justice.
(b)Adopt policies and protocols and enter into any necessary agreements to implement the provisions of NRS 176.0911 to 176.0919 , inclusive.
(c)Ensure that all searches of the State DNA Database are performed in accordance with state and federal
