Text

1. A county clerk may, in his or her discretion, establish a program to provide for the issuance of a certificate of vow renewal. If a county clerk establishes such a program, upon the request of a couple who desires to renew their marriage vows, the county clerk shall issue a certificate of vow renewal. 2. The request for a certificate of vow renewal must be made on a form prescribed by the county clerk and must include the date of the vow renewal and the county in which the vow renewal occurred. 3. The certificate of vow renewal must contain:

(a)The date of the vow renewal;
(b)The county in which the vow renewal occurred;
(c)The name of the persons to whom the certificate of vow renewal is issued; and
(d)A statement that the certificate of vow renewal is not a record of marriage. 4.
