removal from office.] Any public official who shall divert or misuse any county road and bridge funds or who shall violate or fail to carry out any of the provisions of this act [67-4-3 to 67-4-16 NMSA 1978] shall be liable on his official bond therefor, and shall be subject to removal from office on account thereof.
