§ 66-6-13 — Reduced fees for portion of year; fee incentive for

registration by alternative means; temporary permits; drive-out permit; fee. A. Upon a showing satisfactory to the division that a vehicle has not been operated on the highways of this state:

(1)prior to April 1 of the year in which registration is sought, the registration fee shall be three-fourths of the annual fee;
(2)prior to July 1 of the year in which registration is sought, the registration fee shall be one-half of the annual fee; and (3) prior to October 1 of the year in which registration is sought, the registration fee shall be one-fourth of the annual fee. B. Upon a showing satisfactory to the division that a nonresident who is the owner of a foreign vehicle is engaged in seasonal agricultural employment in the state, the division may issue a permit valid for thirty days upon
