Text
The provisions of the act [62-13-5 to 62-13-7 NMSA 1978] shall be applicable only to mortgages, deeds of trust and other security instruments that are executed after the effective date of this act by a corporation of the class referred to in Section 1 [62-13-5 NMSA 1978] of this act and which comply with the provisions of this act with respect to the filing thereof for record. No mortgage, deed of trust or other security instrument executed and filed for record prior to the effective date of this act, regardless of whether the same was executed by a corporation of the class referred to in Section 1 of this act, or otherwise, shall be impaired, invalidated or otherwise affected by any of the provisions of this act.
