Text
standby charges on owners of structures containing automatic fire protection sprinkler systems. No water utility defined as a public utility under the provisions of Section 62-3-3 NMSA 1978 shall impose sprinkler standby charges on the owners of structures that contain automatic fire protection sprinkler systems. As used in this section, "sprinkler standby charges" means additional charges imposed by a water utility on owners of structures because the structures are equipped with automatic fire protection sprinkler systems.
