§ 6-10-45 — [Deposit of local funds with state treasurer to match

New Mexico·Ch. 6 Public Finances·Art. 10 Public Money
allotments.] The local governing authorities of counties, cities, towns and villages are hereby authorized to deposit with the state treasurer so much of their funds, within the limits of existing statutes, as may be necessary to match allotments of money to the state of New Mexico from public or private sources; provided, that said deposits with the state treasurer are expended entirely for the benefit of, and within the jurisdiction of, the counties, cities, towns and villages making such deposits.
