violations. The director of the financial institutions division of this state, in connection with his examination of lending institutions under his supervision, regulation or control, shall investigate and examine the procedures and policies of such lending agencies regarding issue and sale of insurance in connection with loans, and to report immediately to the superintendent any questionable procedures or violations of this article by any such lending agency.
