Text

Chapter 59A, Article 22 NMSA 1978 applies generally to policies of individual health insurance, including student health plan policies. Nothing in that article shall apply to or affect: A. any policy of workers' compensation insurance or any policy of liability insurance with or without supplementary expense coverage therein; B. life insurance, endowment or annuity contracts or contracts supplemental thereto that contain only such provisions relating to health insurance as:

(1)provide additional benefits in case of death by accident; and (2) operate to safeguard such contracts against lapse or to give a special surrender value or special benefit or annuity in event the insured or annuitant becomes totally and permanently disabled, as defined by the contract or supplemental contract; C. gr
