Text

A. In order to meet the pre-licensing education requirement referred to in Subsection D of Section 58-21B-6 NMSA 1978, an individual shall complete at least twenty hours of education approved in accordance with Subsection B of this section, which shall include at least:

(1)three hours of federal law and regulations;
(2)three hours of ethics, including instruction on fraud, consumer protection and fair lending issues;
(3)two hours of training related to lending standards for the nontraditional mortgage product marketplace; and (4) three hours of New Mexico law and administrative rules. B. For the purposes of Subsection A of this section, pre-licensing education courses shall be reviewed and approved by the nationwide multistate licensing system and registry based upon reasonable standard
